The Kickstarter-funded Pillars of Eternity is nearing the end of its delayed release window, so publisher Paradox Interactive is starting to look into pre-order incentives. The Infinity Engine-based RPG is now available to pre-order and Obsidian Entertainment has released a new trailer to celebrate.

Those that pre-order Pillars of Eternity will receive a pair of secret in-game items. Obsidian isn't saying what the items are, because they're a secret, you see. Kickstarter backers will receive those items for free. The Champion Edition is also available for pre-order, which comes with the base game, the soundtrack, a digital campaign almanac, documentary access, a hi-res digital map of the game world, hi-res wallpapers, and ringtones.

Pre-orders will run for 10 percent off from now until November 24. Pillars of Eternity is slated to release in early 2015 for PC. A live stream of the game's current state will be aired this Thursday at 1PM PST on Paradox's Twitch channel.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
