Alienation is the latest game from the makers of Resogun

Grab some friends and shoot up some aliens in another old-school throwback from the folks at Housemarque.

Housemarque has been very busy for Sony. The makers of Resogun and Super Stardust are now focusing on another staple of old-school gaming: manic four-player shoot-'em-ups. This one sees friends blasting aliens in a game appropriately titled Alienation.

Alienation carries a distinctive Smash TV vibe, in terms of its shooting mechanics, while also emphasizing co-op gameplay. The trailer also hints that players can simply go out on their own and gun down enemies at their leisure, but the common goal remains to survive.

Alienation is coming soon to PS4.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
