Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure gets whacked to May 7

If you're looking for Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure, which was supposed to release today, you won't find it. The game has been issued a last-second delay and has been pushed back until May 7.

Those that backed the crowdfunded Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure may be wondering where the game is, since it was originally scheduled to arrive today on PC and Mac. Unfortunately, Tex's triumphant return has hit a last-second snag and the FMV adventure has been delayed until May 7.

The bad news comes courtesy of a new developer video released late yesterday. Big Finish Games states that the two-week delay will allow the studio to add some final polish. The full explanation can be seen in the video below (via Polygon).

Pre-orders for Tesla Effect remain available and they still come with a copy of 1996's The Pandora Directive.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
