You know the world's gone mad when it's been inhabited by just about every killer creature imaginable. So when it comes to a game like Zombies Monsters Robots, there's no time like the present when it comes to quelling any potential threat. En Masse Entertainment and Yingpei Games (the former Epic Games China) are ready to begin the free-to-play third-person shooter's closed beta in May and offered a look at some of the game modes that will be available.

Up to eight players will be able to join forces in a pair of co-op modes. 'Kill Everything' is exactly what it sounds like, with the objective to eliminate all waves of zombies in the Pit map. 'Assault' sees teams push the fight forward, as they must take down the alien Dominion threat on the Hot Dam and Tourist Trap maps.

Those looking for a more competitive environment can go head-to-head with other players in PvP on the Killville and Bullet Train maps.

En Masse remains in line for its targeted early summer release on PC. For more, check out the trailer below.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
