Warhammer seems to have found a happy home on mobile devices. Between Warhammer Quest and the upcoming 40K: Space Wolf and 40K: Storm of Vengeance, Games Workshop is getting a lot of mileage out of tablets. Today it announced a release window for another addition to the family: Warhammer 40K: Carnage, coming this May. The side-scrolling action RPG will be coming to iOS and Android from Roadhouse Interactive, the studio behind MechWarrior Tactics. Carnage was announced last year along with Space Wolf, but now we have more details and a timeframe to look forward to. You'll play as a Space Marine, cutting a path through Orks with a variety of weaponry. The studio promises regular free updates on top of the 50 levels that will come with the paid app, and you can craft weaponry or recruit friends to help you in the quest.

"side scrolling" and "rpg" together like that fills my brain with cognitive dissonance.
