Senior Editor

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Seeing deep discounts on Origin titles is a head-scratcher after DeMartini railed against the practice way back.

I got Titanfall on this deal last weekend, but can't find when it will release the activation key. Will i get it prior to release day so i can preload?

Usually, yes. I don't think I've had an Origin pre-order (even independent studios that published via EA) yet that didn't give out the key at least ~24hrs in advance.

Is Green Man Gaming some kind of joke?

I go there and click buy now for Thief 4.. it says 'added to your basket'.
I click checkout... and then it comes up with 'your basket is empty'.

Why would you advertise for stupid useless websites that are complete crap?

Not that it really matters though.. my wife is not letting me buy Thief 4 PC until after my son's first birthday which is March 11th. Sigh...

Never had an issue. But since your wife won't let you buy it anyway, whats the point of bitching about it?

Why am I paranoid about a 32% presale on Thief?

      • reply

I'm not sure; DXHR had similarly good presale deals.

And both turned out super duper excellent, so I'm really considering thief. Current reviews are favorable (though not fantastic like the games mentioned).
