It's been over three months since Telltale Games shipped the first episode of its five-part The Wolf Among Us series. What gives?

"This is one of those occasions where several things conspired against us (not to mention the additional delays due to the holidays)," Telltale said in a new update. "I won't dive into the details, but it's been an unusual and specific set of circumstances."

Episode two is now planned for "early February," and should launch simultaneously across Xbox, PlayStation, PC, Mac, and iOS.

"We are very concerned about the long delay for this episode," the rep added, noting "we do not anticipate it happening again as we go forward with the rest of the season."

I just have a feeling that Telltale is working on too many projects at the same time.

Their QA department has always done a bad job and letting big bugs get through to the final product and I was amazed how many were in the first Walking Dead Season 2 first episode.

There were static character models standing in rooms where those should have not been at all.

This also smells like development troubles if it took almost four months to get the second episode of Fables to come out.
