Dustforce sweeps onto PS3, Vita, and Xbox 360

Dustforce has been cleaning up on PC and Mac since early 2012 and Capcom will now bring Hitbox Team's tough-as-nails platformer to Xbox 360, PS3, and Vita.

Don't let the premise of broom-wielding janitors fool you. Dustforce was a deceptively difficult platformer, and time hasn't made it any less of a challenge. Capcom is bringing the dust-busting parkour game to PS3, Vita, and Xbox 360.

Capcom promises that the PS3 and Vita versions of Dustforce will include Cross Play. No more details were given beyond that, as the publisher will reveal the game's release date and price in the near future. If you're aching to check out Hitbox Team's 2D platformer sooner than that, it's already out on PC.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Guess Hitbox Team is too busy with Spire to do it themselves?

Capcom seems like a decent fit for Dustforce, glad it's going to be exposed to more people. Wondering if it will be too late with the new consoles on the horizon, could get lost in the shuffle everywhere but the Vita.
