Publisher Ubisoft has announced that Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier's first DLC pack "Arctic Strike" will become available for download for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on July 17. New weapons, a new multiplayer mode, and a co-op map will be included in the pack. If you'd like to take the fight from the urban streets of Moscow to the Arctic, $9.99 (or 800 Microsoft Points) will get you admission.

Arctic Strike will include three new multiplayer maps, and a new Guerilla co-op map. A new multiplayer game mode called "Stockade" is also entering the fray. New achievements are included, as is a +10 player level cap increase.

The new DLC also gives the Rifleman, Scout, and Engineer classes two new weapons each to play around with, and are as follows:

  • Rifleman - F2000 and CZS805

  • Scout - Type 05 JS and BT MP9

  • Engineer - OCP-11 and Mk17

As typical of DLC, the Arctic Strike pack will be downloadable from both Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network, but if you're interested in pre-ordering the pack from GameStop or Best Buy, that option is available as well.

A PC release date for the DLC has yet to be revealed.

I really like the game but the freaking PC version has been broken since day 1 and still the game pad can not be inverted.

Apparently tomorrow they are going to finally address it then in a weeks time fix the rest of the issues, graphics, performance etc :(

Some times you have to wonder if games are even QAed or tested on the platform maybe so much of the PC ports are outsourced and just sent to a company and they are just released un played?

Surely this can not be the case? Also this is not a Ubisoft only thing many companies are guilty its really weird.

No inverted option for a game pad seriously for third person shooter how could that be missed? Does the 360 have that option or the PS3 that is all I want to know?

Yeah, I tried playing with Poor Yurik and a bunch of his pals and while the game is really fun...it's definitely really broken. :(

Cool yeah I really like it too, well lets hope tomorrow everything changes and is fixed, then a week later they really juice it up with the other fix.
