Xbox 360 system update today adds nothing

What's in today's new Xbox 360 system update? Is it Xbox TV? UFC come early? The ability to buy and download fresh sandwiches with Microsoft Points? No. It's nothing. Nothing at all. But it's your nothing.

"Jeepers!" you squeak as you hear good old postie slipping an Xbox 360 system update through your Live letter box. It sounds suspiciously light as it hits your doormat but you jump up and race over. Could it be Xbox TV, or even UFC come early? You hold the envelope to your ear, shake it gently, then tear it open and peer inside. Nothing but a faint smell of disappointment.

And that's the story of today's new mandatory Xbox 360 system update.

"This is a general system maintenance update and there are no new features that will show up once your system has been updated," Xbox Live boss man Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb explains.

As ever, you'll be pressed to download the update when you sign into Xbox Live.
