UFC coming to Xbox Live on December 1
by Andrew Yoon, Oct 07, 2011 8:00am PDTThe arrival of one of Xbox 360's upcoming media partners has been dated. UFC will be available on Xbox Live beginning December 1st.
The UFC app will be live just in time for the live pay-per-view broadcast of UFC 140. Not only will the app give you access to the fight, you'll also be able to watch all the pre-fight festivities, with weigh-ins, interviews, and press conferences.
The app will provide streaming video quality up to 720p. The "Interactive Fight Card" will allow you to size up fighters, view past fight results, and predict upcoming fights to earn points to rise up on the in-app leaderboard. And of course, you'll be able to use Kinect voice commands to play, pause and rewind video.
In order to watch a fight, you'll need a Xbox Live Gold subscription, and pay standard PPV rates for each match. You won't need to use Microsoft Points, as you'll be able to pay directly with your credit card. Fights are usually about $45 each.
