I would totally be down for that.
As you can tell I quite enjoy it: http://www.shacknews.com/laryn.x?id=17963183#itemanchor_17963183-
I keep thinking i'm near the end of the game, and it keeps going :-o
awesome game.
I can host a few TDM/Power Struggle games. Crustar and I have tried it before, and we managed to get a 10 man game going on the net, with decent pings for everybody.
I also will experiment w/ the dedicated server setup to see if i can just straight up transfer the server config files from crysis.
*disclaimer - 4 of the 10 were on LAN in our apt. :P

That's the point there isn't a whole lot of difference... In the original Crysis they didn't have the 'Very High' options available in DX9 in the menus. But people figured out you could just edit the config files to get most of the "DX10" effects.
The DX9 render was just faster so better performance, with little if any loss in quality.

Just curious, for someone who ran the original all the way through in low-medium settings (majority low) how much improvement would I see? Would I be able to turn up a decent amount of settings with no performance loss?
I'm thinking of getting a new video card soon-ish, so I was trying to decide if I wanted to wait or not.
