Somebody released nagware that would allow Blood and Carmageddon to be played on Windows, costs $10 to disable the banner, trying to find it. Carmageddon needs to be played with a Voodoo card (Banshee or below; the Voodoo 3 didn't run Glide in DOS mode) and the Glide patch, otherwise it looks like crap

We tried the dukematch thing last night, and it was a total clusterfuck. By the time they managed to get it together it was only with eDuke32 and the latest beta of DukesterX, and the server wouldn't take more than 4 players at a time or it would crash.
BUT, I may have found some better netplay software for it (Dukonnector), and we'll try again tonight. Hopefully it will work okay.-

Wanna try Dukonnector with eDuke32? Might as well see if it works before I tell everybody to go download it. I managed to kill myself a couple of times playing against my laptop.

So that's basically... a Glide wrapper? Interesting. I've had success using http://www.zeckensack.de/glide/ for a few games in the past, but it hasn't been updated for a couple of years.

I never played the full version only the demo. I was just getting into computer gaming at the time Duke3d came out. Wolf3d, Doom, Doom II, Heritic, ROTT, Hexen, Quake... Duke was one awesome game in a stream of free downloaded content. And when you are working in a chicken slaughter house for $5.50/hour free demos was where its at baby.

Thanks. Maybe people can start referencing you when this game is mentioned. Would you mind that? It would make my vanity searches a lot easier.
Hey guys, bigmanwithagun ran a site organizing maps and TCs and mods and stuff for Duke, I never did any of that, hell I never even played DukeMP, I'm a big phony, let's start giving credit where due and we'll start by bigmanwithagun kicking Jayx77's ass for never having played it.-
-
Huh? No dude I'm not upset with you! I *love* your enthusiasm for this game, I suspect you misunderstood me, I am just voicing confusion over why I get referenced so often when Duke is mentioned when there are other rabid fans such as yourself who have had even greater involvement with this game than I have.
I did bring some of it on myself but Duke is for *everyone*, I don't really like the thought of being the only Shacker that gets referenced when this fine game is mentioned, I would seriously like the fanboy glory shared amongst the rest of us. My comment was not meant to be sarcastic! Being a Duke fan is a wonderful thing!
My respect back atcha by the way for all you have done and continue to do.

I think you guys are mistook George's comments. He said they *could* do it, and if Joe is to be believed this isn't a new idea. They've thought about adding their old games to Live / Wii Ware for some time now, but you need to get Microsoft/Nintendo on board for that sort of thing.
George probably wonders why he even opens his mouth, since it always ends up on the front page.-
-
Well whats he supposed to say "No you cannot put my publicly made comments on the front page of your website"? People will read too much into his comments no matter where he says them. He's like the Stephen Colbert of the gaming world, whenever he opens his mouth everyone is engulfed by the hype and excitement.
