Late Evening Reading

Just because Maarten's copy of C&C 3 isnt there yet I'm going to play mine tonight and giggle. I enjoy his misery you know?

- Your Razr is soooo 2005
- Chrysler doing satellite TV
- Giving up social networks for lent
- Double sunsets are rad
- Think you can read the whole thing?
- Upscale tap water

Lastly, that GTA4 trailer really wasnt much of a trailer was it? I guess we can count on the environment being kinda pretty but thats about it.

Not the 61x range, though they're not bad either. I meant the K750, purely in terms of looks and the controls, I really liked that specific shape of the buttons, and I think it still looks good, though I guess it's all about the 810 now.

Sony was so much better bro, butI think it just has to do with timing.

Timing aside, Sony has a major edge now though man.

The Razr is actually a very nice phone. It's ridiculous how "standard" it's become now though. Little kids, Grandmas. So I had to buy a BlackBerry Pearl.. now, no less than 3 months later, I'm already seeing ghetto hoodrats with my phone. Get off my shit people. As Hunter S. Thompson would say, "F*ck the Poor!"

The big problem is verizon pushes their custom UI on all these phones; although with how shitty the Motorola software is, in that case it's a step up

Are you running the latest firmware update? (From mid-2006 I think.) It really sped things up a lot on the V3c. Also, if you have a ton of text messages or pictures saved it can slow the whole system down. Mine has always been really snappy until lately when I realized I have over 1000 messages saved and everything lags hah. I really shouold clear some out.

I think I'll probably switch to verizon and get one of those lg chocolate phones as they have the features I'm looking for. US Cellular's selection of phones really seems lackluster to me.

I like my L6 and the camera is cool, but it's not like I'd replace a digital camera with it. It's camera is comparable to my boyfriend's sprint equivalent too a razr and he seems to like it more than the real razr

I've had a Razr for 2 years now and like it pretty well.

Good points: Size and weight - I can drop it in my pocket and you won't know it's there. Style - it's pretty snazzy looking I think.

Bad points: Somewhat laggy UI. No backlit display, it sucks in sunlight.

All in all it met my needs very well. It's about time for a new phone, but I've no idea what I'll get this time.

I really don't give a shit about Cellphone style to be honest. I see everyone with all these bells and whistles and I ... just want a phone. No camera. No Mp3 player. I just want something that works and won't cost me a fortune. I had Motorola i90c for the longest time till last year when I updated to the i730.

      http://www.amazon.com/Sync-Charge-Cable-Motorola-Bastens/dp/B000JQB144/ref=sr_1_16/102-6246461-2158533?ie=UTF8&s=musical-instruments&qid=1175225751&sr=8-16

      ^^ This one ^^

I'm so far behind in "style", but I don't care. I want something that doesn't feel like it's going to break if I hold it wrong, I want something with some weight behind it (my Dad has this really fake plastic-feeling Motorola that he got from Verizon.. it's seriously a POS), and for it to be flip so I don't accidentally call people while it's in my pocket. That's it. I don't ask for much.

      :(

The chocolate has gotten some pretty shitty reviews, it looks semi pretty but really doesn't have any special features.

Sure enough, these buttons are a nightmare. They’re balky, nonresponsive, slow to react and all-around infuriating (and yes, I tried all four sensitivity settings). The three people who tried my review unit had amazingly similar reactions, even after I told them to stop running their thumbs around the dial as though it were an iPod. One said he felt like throwing the phone “through the window,” another “into the trash,” and another “across the room.”
For the cost I'd go with another phone.

hmm, that sucks. basically i want a phone that:

            - has an mp3 player
            - can connect relatively painlessly to my computer to transfer said mp3s
            - is not motorola

i don't care about internet access or the camera or anything. I just want a non-fugly mp3 player + phone that doesn't suck.

the sony ericsson i810 sounds like the phone for me but afaik is not compatible with the decent service providers around here (us cellular and to a lesser extent verizon are good coverage wise, everything else is pretty sketchy). I'm pretty retarded when i comes to just about anything regarding cell phones though.

do you have a regular portable mp3 player? I was tempted to get the slvr because it had itunes, but then i got a nano, so the mp3 feature didn't matter anymore.

i don't, that's why i'd like to consolidate and have both in one device. another reason being that just knowing myself, if i did get an ipod or something I would never use it, it would just collect dust. but if my phone can do the same thing, well I always have my phone on me.. i'd be much more likely to actually use the mp3 player feature in that case.

I have a Samsung a950 with a 1gb Transflash card, and it does everything I need it to do as far as MP3 playing goes. I do have to arrange my songs in to playlists to get any kind of order (I'm used to just selecting the artist and album, and having all of it play at once), but otherwise it's fine. I use it at the gym.
