One of the biggest announcements out of the May 2023 PlayStation Showcase was the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Officially titled Metal Gear Delta: Snake Eater, not much is known about the project, but the cinematic trailer revealed that the game is coming to PS5.

Interestingly enough, it appears that franchise director Hideo Kojima won't be involved with the project. After a sour split with Konami several years ago, fans had been speculating that amends had been made and that the iconic developer would be involved with the remake. That does not appear to be the case.

Metal Gear Delta: Snake Eater will launch for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, but has not been given a release window. For all of the announcements from the latest PlayStation Showcase, Shacknews has you covered.
