Weekend Console Download Deals for Oct. 11: Free Mortal Kombat 11 weekend

Mortal Kombat 11 is free to play on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this weekend. If that's not enough, the MK11 Kombat Pack is also getting a rare discount.

The Terminator feels like a bit of an anachronism in the Mortal Kombat world, but he's certainly not the most unusual character to hit the series. Still, he's got a lot of fighting game fans curious to try him out, so now feels like a good time to put Mortal Kombat 11 on sale. However, WB Games and NetherRealm are going a step further. If you're playing on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, not only is the full game on sale, but the Kombat Pack (which includes The Terminator) is also being offered at a significant discount. So if you want to full MK11 experience, it should be a cheaper package to pick up.

If you'd still like to try it, even before dishing out for the discounted price, remember that there's a free weekend going down right now!

Elsewhere, the Nintendo Switch's Square Enix sale continues for one more day. But there's also a Bandai Namco sale going on all weekend. This sale includes games like Dragon Ball FighterZ and various anime games, but it also includes the recently-released RAD. This collaboration with Double Fine is one of the finest roguelikes to release this year, so consider picking it up if you haven't already.
