Where to find the Necromantic Strand in Destiny 2

Learn how to complete the Essence of Brutality by locating the Necromantic Strand in Destiny 2.

1

Finding the Necromantic Strand in Destiny 2 requires reaching the Hall of Wisdom. This is but one step in the Essence of Brutality, a quest to craft the Loud Lullaby Hand Cannon. For a lot of players, the Hall of Wisdom is going to be difficult to find, which makes getting this weapon part a bit tricky.

Where to find the Necromantic Strand – Hall of Wisdom

The Necromantic Strand is found in the Hall of Wisdom. This item is a requirement in the Essence of Brutality quest item, which is used to forge the Loud Lullaby Hand Cannon.

The Hall of Wisdom is the name of an area in the labyrinth below the Moon. Reaching this area is fairly simple, provided you know what path to take. As with all of the areas below the Moon, they can be reached via any of the main entrances, but the best place to start for this one is near Eris.

Spawn in at the Sanctuary fast-travel point and head left toward Archer’s Line. When you enter the new area, pass through the broken track to the right and head up the hill toward the domed building. Go through the building and down the hill.

Enter through the door in the wall, you’re now below the Moon and closing in on the Necromantic Strand. Follow the path down to the bottom and you will enter the Hall of Wisdom. Go into the center of the area below the Hive chandelier-looking thing. A waypoint should appear on your screen as you get closer.

The Necromantic Strand is resting up against one of the pillars below the chandelier. As you get closer you will be able to hold a button to “Pick Up Weapon Part”.

After finding the Necromantic Strand location in Destiny 2, all that’s left to do is complete activities and get Hand Cannon kills – then the Loud Lullaby is all yours. The Essence of Brutality is one of the easier quests to complete, as its weapon part isn’t buried too far below the Moon. Check out the Shacknews Destiny 2 guide for more Shadowkeep content.
