The latest Pokemon mobile game has been racking up new users left and right.

DeNA and The Pokemon Company's Pokemon Masters has been enjoying a ton of success since its official launch, racking up 10 million downloads in just 4 days.

Pokemon Masters was able to accrue this many downloads across both iOS and Android devices since it first launched on August 29, which is a massive accomplishment. It's still racking up the downloads too, and it should be interesting to see the numbers when the game has finally been out for a month or so, when it will undoubtedly have surpassed even more downloads.

Pokemon Masters has players going out on new adventures to create their own teams of trainers and partner Pokemon to clash in 3-on-3 real-time battles. The game takes place on the island of Pasio, where battles tend to play out a little differently. Sync pairs are the new hotness, which are comprised of both Pokemon and their trainers.

To that end, Pokemon Masters brings pairs from all over each Pokemon region for the first time together to make sync pairs, such as Brendan and Treecko, Korrina and Lucario, and Clair and Kingdra. There are tons of trainers on Pasio, which should offer plenty of surprises along the way. It's a new take on familiar mechanics in Pokemon for sure, but it's a lot of fun to adapt to the new way of play, which is exactly what people are doing.

If you're interested in trying out the game, it's a free-to-start game with in-app purchases and you can pick it up right now on either iOS or Android
