The Sims 4 is still alive and well, and judging from recent news, sorcery may be the culprit. The folks over at Electronic Arts have been stirring the cauldron, cooking up a potent potion known as Realm of Magic, a sorcery-infused set of downloadable content for the ever-addictive Sims title. Best of all, now that the runes have been etched and the rites have been spoken, Realm of Magic finally ready to release for PC and home consoles.

The Sims 4 Realm of Magic Origin PC release date is currently slated for September 4. For those keeping count at home, it will release for both Windows and Mac systems. Shortly following its PC release, Realm of Magic will land on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 14.

As current players already know, EA doesn't hold back when it comes to new content drops for The Sims 4. The latest Realm of Magic release is set to shake up the formula with all manner of new additions, including but not limited to:

  • Spells and potion brewing
  • Spellcaster career
  • Sorceror trainers
  • New dragon and fairy familiars
  • Sorcery-themed outfits and decorations

In case it's not totally clear, players will need the base version of The Sims 4 in order to download and play with all the Realm of Magic goodies. For those ready to jump into the action, be sure to find The Sims 4 over on the Origin website.
