The announcements at EVO 2019 didn't stop with Tekken 7, as Arc System Works took the stage once again to reveal another project that they're working on. While BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle continues to thrive under their umbrella, there's another franchise that Arc is looking to get back into and that's Guilty Gear. A new teaser showed off an all-new entry to the Guilty Gear franchise.

There is no full title to this one just yet. In fact, there are almost no details to work with here. The biggest takeaway looks to be that the game is incorporating more 3D animation into its 2D anime aesthetic. Players can see rotating camera, multi-layered stages, and bombastic new finishers.

Expect a new Guilty Gear to arrive in 2020. We'll keep an eye on the Arc System Works website for any new information.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
