Hasbro is one of the first companies that come to mind when collectors think about new toys and exclusive merchandise. The company has made a name for itself with all manner of licensed products, including ones based on popular culture and iconic film and television series.

The latest in Hasbro's lineup focuses once again on Star Wars, arguably the most popular sci-fi franchise on the planet. Shacknews recently met with Hasbro's Steven Gilbert to learn more about the detailed and ultra-collectible toys and figures coming out of the company this year, and gave us an exclusive look at new tie-in merchandise in the Star Wars Black Series. Take a look in the video below.

The real big-ticket item on display is Hasbro's Black Series Luke Skywalker X-Wing helmet. Decorated to look as weathered and battered as the real deal, this helmet includes thick padding for comfort as well as electronics that call R2-D2 and flip between the X-Wing and Snow Speeder modes. The Luke Skywalker X-Wing Helmet joins the lineup with past helmets released by Hasbro, including the likes of Darth Vader, Poe Dameron, and the Imperial Stormtrooper helmets.

Also on display in our tour of the new Hasbro Star Wars toys are in the Special Action Figure Set, which includes Luke Skywalker Jedi Destiny set, and a new Sith Trooper figure to commemorate the newest Imperial forces landing in Episode 9.

Finally, Hasbro showcased the latest addition to it's HyperReal lineup in the form of a meticulously detailed Darth Vader figurine. It's an eighth-inch scale figure which featuring a metal endoskeleton, making it one of the most realistic Star Wars figures that series followers can purchase.

Fans who want to track down the new Hasbro Star Wars toys and figures for 2019 can find more information through the official Hasbro website. For more great interviews and convention coverage, be sure to follow Shacknews and GamerHubTV on YouTube.
