PlayStation Flash Sale discounts Arkham Knight, Dead Island, & more

PS4 players can scoop up some mid-year discounts with the PlayStation Flash sale, offering discounts on Batman: Arkham Knight, Dead Island, A Plague Tale: Innocence, and many others.

There are almost always mid-year savings to be found on video games, but Sony hasn't yet announced any sort of proper Mid-Year Sale. Instead, the folks behind PlayStation have kicked off a fresh new PlayStation Flash Sale that sees games such as Dead by Daylight, Batman: Arkham Knight, and the Dead Island series discounted from now throughout the rest of the weekend.

We'll be blunt: Not a lot of games in this latest flash sale are particularly interesting. However, most of the games are discounted below the $10 mark, with many games being offered for less than five. There are even a few sales on Vita games, for players still getting their kicks from Sony's well-loved but poorly performing handheld.

Here are a few of the noteworthy discounts to be found in the PlayStation Flash Sale running this weekend:

  • A Plague Tale: Innocence - $34.99
  • Batman: Arkham Collection - $23.99
  • Batman: Arkham Knight Premium Edition - $15.99
  • Broforce - $3.74
  • Dead by Daylight: Special Edition - $14.99
  • Dead Island Definitive Edition - $4.99
  • Dead Island Definitive Collection - $7.49
  • Dead Island Riptide Definitive Edition - $4.99
  • Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer - $7.49
  • Hotline Miami - $2.49
  • Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number - $3.74
  • Stranger of a Sword City - $9.99
  • Tokyo Tattoo Girls - $5.99

To check out the full list of all 106 games discounted during the current PlayStation Flash Sale, be sure to head over to the PlayStation Store. Users can browse through their PlayStation devices or by heading over to the official PlayStation Store website.

Was Arkham Knight good? I didn’t even realize Rocksteady made a 3rd one. I loved Asylum but wasn’t a fan of the larger scope of City for some reason.

It's like City, but even more-so. Imo worst of the trilogy.

Origins isn't Rocksteady. It's still okay, but it's buggy and has a different voice cast - it still works since it's those charcters earlier on, but you can tell it's not Rocksteady.

This one seems pretty polarizing. I absolutely loved it though. If you didn’t like the openness of Arkham city though, I don’t think you’d enjoy this. It’s that with a batmobile.

        I'd rank them as asylum-city-knight

I liked it, though the Batmobile makes the much larger city feel oddly smaller. But there are some absolutely fantastic voice performances that you absolutely shouldn't miss in this game.
