E3 2019: Animal Crossing: New Horizons delayed to 2020

The Nintendo Switch debut of Animal Crossing gets pushed back into next year.


Animal Crossing fans were ecstatic to hear that Nintendo was planning to release a new version of the game, title Animal Crossing: New Horizons, for its Switch console. The announcement, made during a Nintendo Direct last year, promised a 2019 release window for the game. During the E3 2019 Nintendo Direct presentation today, the company explained that the game has been delayed into 2020. The new official release date for New Horizons is March 20, 2020.
