Ubisoft gave the world the first glimpse at its colorful new PvP sports game Rollerball Champions during its E3 2019 briefing. The game pits teams of skaters against each other as they try to put the ball into the hoops on either end of the playing arena. Based on comments made during the reveal, Ubisoft expects the game to gain a big audience of esports viewers, as well as active players.

Rollerball Champions will be free-to-play and has a pre-alpha demo that can be downloaded right now via Uplay and will run through June 14. Ubisoft offers some more details on the game on their official site:

Roller Champions puts players in massive arenas where you'll need to use speed, smarts, and daring to be the first to score five points. Thrill crowds by defying gravity; ride up walls to gain speed, get around opponents, and take your shot at the goal. Or, if you're feeling lucky, you can skate past the goal and try to circle the track again before scoring, increasing the points you'll earn at the risk of losing the ball and missing your opportunity to score.

Your fans are your XP. You may start from humble beginnings, but before long, you'll be packing arenas and playing to roaring crowds.  As your fanbase grows, you'll new gear, outfits, animations, and customization items. Make your mark, and you might even see your name atop the Roller Champions leaderboards when the game releases in early 2020.
