If you’re a fan of Apex Legends and the fast-paced, free-to-play battle royale experience that Respawn has managed to create, then we’ve got some news for you. In a blog post shared on the EA website, Respawn detailed a little bit of the upcoming changes we’ll see when the Season 2 Battle Pass launches, as well as provided info about an upcoming stream that will go further in-depth into the changes.

Those looking to hear more about the overall changes in Season 2 will want to tune into the official EA Play livestream on June 8 at 10AM PST. During this livestream, the group at Respawn will cover more of the changes in-depth and share more about what players can expect when Season 2 arrives later this year. For now, though, the team has shared some of the biggest high-level improvements coming with the new Battle Pass, which should get the community drooling.

New Legendary skins are just one of the items on the agenda for Apex Legends' Season 2 Battle Pass.

Coming improvements for the Season 2 Battle Pass include the addition of three new Legendary skins which will be added to the reward track. The time that it takes to reach Battle Pass level 100 should also be greatly reduced in the new Battle Pass. Players will also find new ways to level up thanks to daily and weekly challenges, as well as the ability to earn more Crafting Metal rewards throughout their Battle Pass. According to the post on the EA website, this new method for earning Crafting Metal rewards should allow players to craft one Legendary item just through leveling up their Battle Pass.

The team at Respawn will also be working to improve the overall grind in Apex Legends to make it a smoother process overall. You can learn more about the changes they’ve revealed by heading over to the original post on the EA website. Some decent changes in there. The Elite queue isn't true MMR but maybe it'll take some of the super good players out of the pool for the rest of us that aren't nearly as good.

The added skins look pretty cool and giving more crafting materials is good too.

I'm wondering if you get into and out of the queue instantly or if it looks at an overall pattern of top 5 placements. Would be dumb for somebody like Shroud to fall out of that queue because he got too aggro and died early once or twice.

Sounds instant to me. Here’s the catch: in order to continue playing in the queue you will have to keep placing in the Top 5.

And the reddit thread mentions a badge which shows your longest streak in the Elite queue. Sounds like the goal of it is not just to put teams that make it to the end into new matches together, but also adjust the dynamics a bit so people may not want to be 100% aggro and die right away like you mention.

Although there's bound to be higher concentration of cheaters in the elite pool as well, so that's fun. But maybe this will help filter them out of the normal games a bit :/

Definitely a lot better, they addressed all the bullshit from S1 from what I can see. If they were going to make it faster I wish they would apply that to S1 retroactively, though I guess this event sort of does that. Maybe I'll jump in again, though I want to know what their gameplay content plans are.
