Weekend PC Download Deals for May 17: Epic Mega Sale

This weekend's deals are headlined by the Epic Games Store's first major sales, which includes steep discounts on games that aren't even out yet!

Spring is in full bloom and the big sales for the season are underway. While Steam hasn't put up its library for sale just yet, the Epic Games Store has decided to get a headstart by offering up nearly its entire catalog of games. That includes many games that have not yet been released, so if you're interested in checking out that new John Wick game or the Quantic Dream catalog, maybe consider taking a flyer on those.

Meanwhile, the Humble Store has also kicked off its Spring Sale and that means that the top games from numerous publishers are getting giant discounts. But on top of that, Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition is being offered up absolutely free. So if you haven't gotten into this amazing Metroidvania, there's never been a better time to give it a try.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
