The gaming industry and community have made some appearances at early 2019 expos like PAX South and developers are rubbing elbows at GDC 2019 soon, but the year of gaming really gets started when PAX East comes around. With February coming to close, that puts PAX East 2019 right around the corner and the production staff has revealed some of the coming attractions.

“It’s hard to believe this is our tenth PAX East,” said Jerry Holkins, co-founder of PAX and Penny Arcade. “The BCEC has always been a great home for the show, and we can't wait to pack every floor of it with the games, panels, and live events people expect.”

In addition to a lot of the typical PAX programming, the event will serve as the debut of a new one that highlights one of the fastest growing elements of the gaming industry. Stream Stars is a competitive gaming showcase that will be headlined by popular personalities from Twitch, Mixer, and YouTube. The full panel and session schedule for PAX East 2019 includes experiences hosted by Obsidian Entertainment, the team working on the sci-fi RPG The Outer Worlds, SNK, WWE superstar Xavier Woods, and a whole lot more.

PAX East 2019 takes place March 28-31 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts. PAX East, which is celebrating its ten-year anniversary, will host over 300 exhibitors including Sony Interactive Entertainment America, Microsoft, Ubisoft, Bandai Namco, Wizards of the Coast, and many others. Sony's experience is notable because the company canceled last year's PlayStation Experience and is skipping out on E3 2019.

Badges went on sale back in November 2018 and, if you're interested in attending, a few single-day PAX East 2019 badges for Thursday, Friday, and Sunday are still available. Stay tuned to Shacknews for additional updates.
