Epic Games details Season 8 Fortnite mobile updates

The Fortnite team has been striking off issues with the mobile game over time and has opened up to about the v8 patch for Season 8.

Fortnite can be found on a plethora of platforms and the mobile community has its own unique issues to get through, so Epic Games has a dedicated team knocking it out and sharing details with the community. Season 8 of the wildly popular game is nearly upon us and we now have an idea of what's coming up next.

Patch v7.40 addressed fixes for Fortnite Mobile community concerns and the development team wants to keep chipping away at the list going into Season 8. You can find the issues that have been handled, like the addition of a dedicated edit button, on the official blog post, but here's a look at issues that will be handled in v8 and beyond:

  • Intermittently Console/Touch HUD shows input is blocked despite using a mobile controller or Touch
    • Fixed in v8.00
  • Interaction Button
    • Interacting with items when there was blocking line of sight should no longer occur.
      • This includes: Ziplines, Chest, Vending Machines, and Floor Loot
    • Fixed in v8.00
  • Combat/Build mode button adjustments
    • TL;DR
      • When players switch modes and use the quickbar for building placement, combat mode could be re-entered.
    • Fixed in v8.00
  • Players are unable to change from standing to crouch position while editing structures
    • Fixed in v8.00
  • Dedicated edit button
    • TL;DR
      • Editing issues with the button that include players temporarily being unable to select tiles to edit at certain times. If you happen to run into this please report it in game and send us feedback

  • Using autorun without a controller toggles auto sprint

Fortnite Mobile season 8 updates v8 version patch notes

Fortnite Mobile is available for iOS and Android devices and free-to-play. Fortnite Season 8 should hit all platforms sometime near the end of February or the start of March. Stay tuned to Shacknews to learn the exact details sometime in the near future.
