Keeping a game like Overwatch fun and engaging for everyone involves the occasional tweaks and balances, and update version 1.32.1.1 provides just such adjustments. The game's latest patch has been deployed as of January 24, and includes several key changes players will want to know about. These include a change that reduces the amount of damage armor can absorb and several balance adjustments to hero abilities for Reaper, D. Va, and Brigitte.

Overwatch January 24 2019 update 1.32.1.1 patch notes

The most obvious changes in the latest Overwatch 1.32.1.1 updates will likely be the tweaks to hero abilities. The maximum duration of Brigitte's Rally has been reduced to 30 seconds, which the team says should help with problems from the ability's "snowballing effect." Similarly, the cooldown D. Va's Defense Matrix has increased from one to two seconds, opening more offensive opportunities for opponents. Finally, Reaper has seen a buff to The Reaping, with life steal increased from 30% up to 50% of all damage dealt.

Aside from changes to hero abilities, players will also need to be aware of the adjustment to armor. Damage reduction from armor has been reduced from -5 to -3, which changes the amount of damage for weapons like shotguns. The development team stated that armor "was a bit too strong overall, especially when heroes were being healed quickly and often. This change will help more heroes fight against higher-armored enemies."

The patch also comes with a number of bug fixes, including a fix for the Nepal Shrine point capture bug. Wrecking Ball's proximity mines can now be properly disabled by Sombra's EMP, and issues with displaying golden weapons have been corrected.
