The Walking Dead: The Final Season's "Broken Toys" teases Episode 3

The Walking Dead: The Final Season's new "Broken Toys" trailer shows what we can expect from the next-to-last episode of the game.

Skybound Games has released a new trailer for the next episode of The Walking Dead: The Final Season.

The episode, "Broken Toys," finds Clementine preparing for all-out war. We get a quick sneak peek at her time with Lee, too, which seems a bit concerning and emotional. Will the game flash us back completely to that time and give us more of a look at what happened to Lee? It'd be interesting to see the outcome of your decisions throughout the game if you kept the save file, but it's unclear what's going on with him at this point.

As far as Clementine and her gang, it looks like things are falling apart and she's got to rescue them. As per usual, anyway, Clem has turned into the problem-solver of this season, and she's not afraid to roll up her sleeves, hack through walkers, and retrieve her people if she has to. No matter what happens, we know some emotionally-charged things are about to occur. They have to, as we're rapidly nearing the end, after all.

This is the first episode produced under Skybound Games and involving former Telltale Games staff. It's the third of four episodes for the season and will be available on January 15 throughout all storefronts if you already own the season. New players will need to buy it via the Epic Games Store, as it's become an exclusive there.

It's a wonder we're getting the season ending at all, given the debacle surrounding Telltale Games in late 2018 that culminated in the studio's closure. Now that Skybound has taken over, fans will at least get to see how Clementine's story ends, though this is the end of the line for the Telltale-crafted The Walking Dead adventure. Better cherish this one while you can, with that in mind.
