Black Armory is Destiny 2’s first piece of annual content for Year 2 and with it comes some very appealing armor. Players will be looking for a means to quickly get any and all Black Armory armor, and luckily enough, it’s easy to acquire.

How to get Black Armory armor

To get a full set of Black Armory armor, players must complete Ada-1’s weekly challenge. This challenge can be found through the Director when highlighting Ada-1’s node over on the left side at the Annex. The challenge specifically tasks players with completing two weapon frames, at which point it will reward a Powerful Armor engram.

The Black Armory Powerful Armor engram is different to the Powerful Gear engram as it is guaranteed to drop a piece of armor, hence its name. Any player who has managed to finish a forge or two should have no trouble completing the necessary steps in forging a new weapon from a weapon frame. The difficulty will be found in actually grinding out the steps required before taking the frame to a forge, as they can become quite repetitive.

Collecting an entire set of Black Armory armor may take a while, as Ada-1’s weekly challenge will need to be completed several times. A good idea can be to complete the task on three characters, giving players three chances at earning the gear. Keep in mind that the armor is class specific, so you will need to have three of the same class in order to maximise rewards.

Outside of getting the Black Armory armor, players should also look into unlocking the hidden emblems in each of the forges as well as farm weapon frames for a chance at the Exotic bow, Le Monarque. Be sure to check out the Shacknews Destiny 2 complete strategy guide for more valuable resources.
