Tekken is crowning a world champion this weekend. And with the game's faithful fans in attendance in Amsterdam, series director Katsuhiro Harada took the stage to reveal what's next for Tekken 7's Season 2 Pass, while teasing what's further ahead down the road.

First up was the reveal of Craig Marduk. The grizzled grappler is making his return from the past several Tekken games, having been a staple of the series since Tekken 4. Marduk has a new look, sporting a hoodie and new facial hair. His violent temperment remains, as evidenced by his powerful punches, elbow strikes, throws, and ground-and-pound strikes. He shows the kind of short fuse in this trailer that's been his staple throughout the series, all the way through the moment that he killed Armor King.

As for the next Season 2 character revealed, it's... oh... it's Armor King!

Indeed, Armor King's demise appears to have been greatly exaggerated. In this trailer, he's seen dishing out the pain to his would-be killer, using flying strikes and lucha high spots, culminating with a brutal piledriver. How Armor King is still alive following the events of Tekken 3 is unknown and one would imagine that a storyline reason is forthcoming.

The end of the Armor King trailer teased a third returning character. It's Julia Chang, another staple of the Tekken series, dating back to Tekken 3. Not much was shown of the Native American warrior, but look for more details on her in early 2019.

Lastly, there's the character that still has the Tekken world buzzing. It's Negan from AMC's The Walking Dead. In a re-creation of his classic introduction scene, the Tekken roster is lined up on their knees, as Negan prepares to take Lucille to one of their heads. Of course, this being Tekken, they don't stand for this and opt to fight, leading to the first gameplay reveal for the game's newest cameo character, where he's able to hang with the game's top characters. And yes, the character is fully voiced by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, reprising his role from the hit AMC series. Negan is set to hit Tekken 7 in early 2019. We'll have this trailer up and running as soon as it's available.

Marduk and Armor King will be the next characters set to hit in Season 2. Look for them to arrive soon.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
