It's that time again – time for a new lineup of free PlayStation Plus games. This month, there are some pretty polar opposite titles on the docket: OnRush and Soma.

December's PlayStation Plus lineup has both a frenetic racer and horror game for you to try out just in time for the holiday season to start up. OnRush is actually a fun and fast-paced racer that places you on teams as you race to victory. With gravity-defying vehicles and action-packed courses, you'll soon find yourself thinking about the game even when you're not playing. The physics can be a little wonky, but it's still absolutely worth playing, especially for free.

Soma, from Frictional Games, is a horror game from the folks that brought us Amnesia: The Dark Descent. It explores identity, consciousness, and the idea of what it actually means to be human. You'll rifle through a ton of secret documents, search terminals, and face off against some particularly terrifying moments in the darkness to find out the haunting truth "beneath the ocean waves."

You can also pick up PlayStation 3 titles like Steredenn and Steins;Gate as well as Iconoclasts and Papers, Please for PS Vita. Steins;Gate is a fantastic visual novel that you should make every effort to complete, and Papers, Please is a now-iconic indie game that you need to experience. All games will be free from December 4 through January 1, 2019, so make sure you add them to your library.

Warframe players get in on the freebies, too. The Warframe: PlayStation Plus Booster Pack III has a selection of items to help jumpstart players' games. This includes 100 Platinum, 100,000 Credits, Quanta (a Corpus laser rifle), Quanta Obsidian Skin, 7-Day Affinity Booster, and a 7-Day Credit Booster. PS Plus members can get the pack for free from now until January 15, 2019.

Make sure you don't sleep on this selection of free stuff!
