Fire Pro Wrestling World makes its entrance on PS4

The beloved series plans to put a headlock on its PS4 competition.

A staple of the 32-bit console era, Fire Pro Wrestling has finally come back to consoles in North America. The all-new Fire Pro Wrestling World has finally launched for Sony’s PS4 console after it first debuted on Steam last year. While it may lack the budget and glitz of the WWE2K series, Fire Pro Wrestling World is the game of choice for hardcore wrestling fans thanks to its focus on simulating pro wrestling matches.

In addition to the content that the game launched with on Steam last year, Fire Pro Wrestling World also includes a big chunk of the New Japan Pro Wrestling roster, including Kota Ibushi, Katsuyori Shibata, Hiromu Takahashi, Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga, and Tomohiro Ishii. Also included are Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada, arguably the two best wrestlers in the world. Due to legal issues, the game lacks Cody and the Young Bucks, but players can use the extensive character creator tools to fill any holes in the roster.

Fire Pro Wrestling World is available now on PS4 for $49.99. The Deluxe Edition, which includes upcoming DLC and other bonuses, will set you back $89.99. For information on the remaining big releases of 2018, refer to our comprehensive release date guide.
