Shacknews Staff Select: Blake Morse

Get to know me! I'm pretty great!

Hey hey hey, folks! It's me, resident Electronic Sports Commentator and Reviews Editor for Shacknews, Blake Morse. And today I get to post a video about one of my all-time favorite subjects: my glorious self. For those of you that haven't noticed my presence here on Shacknews yet, or did and just didn't care, the latest entry in our Staff Select series should give you some insight into my humor and what makes me so passionate about games and doing it for Shacknews.

While a majority of the staff mostly got asked about things relevant to working in the video games industry, our resident camera guy, Greg "Burkleton" Burke digs deep into the origins and mysterious powers of my beard. (Spoiler alert: it just grows on my face!) Greg does find a moment to sneak in some actual content about my favorite games of all time and what makes me love my job as much as I do.

In all seriousness though, I've been working in the video games industry for a long time and have taken on many roles in that time. Whether we're talking about my start in a mailroom position and working my way up to senior editor at the first site I worked for, my journey into livestream hosting, or my stint as community manager for an indie games publisher, I have been rather lucky to work with and learn from the people I have encountered. I could not be happier than I am now to be bringing a decade plus of skills and experiences to Shacknews. The vibe here is something I haven't experienced in gaming since I first started out and I am totally digging it.
