Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 1.6 Update Adds Breath of the Wild's Master Cycle Zero

Link is now ready to ride in style in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's latest update.

It's hard to imagine that new content would be coming to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, of all games. That's especially considering that already a fairly complete collection of everything that had already come to Nintendo Wii U. But Nintendo isn't quite finished with its kart racer just yet, as the publisher announced out of the blue that Link would get a special outfit that would tie to his latest adventure.

This update will add Link's Champion's Tunic and his Master Cycle Zero (yes, remember that Link has a motorcycle in Breath of the Wild) to allow him to ride in style. With Ancient Tires and Paraglider parts also in place, Link's full Breath of the Wild ensemble should be complete.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe version 1.6 should be available for download right now.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
