There's been more than a few eccentric moments during Sony's E3 2018 briefing, but some of the most obvious of those moments came from the instantly recognizable co-creator of sci-fi cartoon series Rick and Morty. That's right, Justin Roiland has revealed his newest title Trover Saves The Universe, an upcoming title from Squanch Games coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR.

Considering the huge amount of heavy-handed action presented in various E3 2018 briefings, it's nice to experience a short respite and have a look at something decidedly more lighthearted. The game itself looks to be a fairly simple platforming affair, with the comic styles of Roiland playing a considerable role throughout the experience.

It appears that there's no firm release date set for the title just yet, but it does seem like Trover Saves the Universe will launch as a PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR exclusive.
