Fortnite 4.3 Update Patch Wheels Out Shopping Carts

Who needs vehicles when you've got shopping carts?

5

Judging by what's included in Fortnite's new 4.3 patch, it's pretty evident that somebody at Epic Games has been watching a lot of MTV's old "Jackass" show. Because really, what exemplifies "Jackass" more than goofballs performing stunts in shopping carts?

Yes, shopping carts have been introduced into Fortnite's Battle Royale mode, offering a more unconventional mode of transportation. These items are scattered throughout the world and are available for pickup and are made for two players, one as the pusher and another as a passenger. They might even be able to help out with certain Challenges, which players will now be able to keep better track of, thanks to some new UI improvements. Just remember that fall damage is still enabled, so please, don't try any of those "Jackass" stunts at home.

Battle Royale players can also find some new limited time modes. Both Blitz and Teams of 20 modes are back, now updated with the newest weaponry. Communication should also be made a little bit easier, since voice chat has now been added to Fortnite Mobile.

Other changes include the second part of Save the World's Blockbuster Event, turbo building, and some of the quality-of-life changes detailed last week. Find the full list of patch notes on the Epic Games website.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Fortnite seems strange now. Watching some streams and they are all playing against bots mostly- maybe come across a human player 1 out of 20 times.

      It’s all Player826 shotgunned Player357

      Why is that !?

the streamer has "streamer mode" on to try and alleviate stream snipers that like to go after the streamer as some sort of glory hunt and see their name on the stream. The mode replaces all other player names with the generic Player###

        so... not bots ;)
