Original Story:

Bethesda just dropped a significant tease on its official Twitter account, alluding to some big Fallout news coming in the very near future:

E3 2018 festivities start next weekend, June 9, so it makes sense that the company will toss some fuel into the hype train as we all get closer. If the company decides to make a reveal before then, we'll have it up here on Shacknews.

Bethesda has already introduced a high-profile title for E3 2018, having revealed Rage 2 from id Software and Avalanche studios. The company will be hosting its own E3 showcase on Sunday, June 10, at 6:30 PM PT. Stay tuned for more updates.

Almost 3 years since Fallout 4... they wouldn't be crazy enough to already have a 5 in the works would they?
      For Switch sounds possible.

Timing would make sense for a New Vegas equivalent (new game with different setting and same engine, then Fallout 5 comes later)

In the meantime come out with Fallout 4 on Switch.

Yeah, could very well be a New Vegas-like. New setting and story on the same engine from a side team or outside studio. Or it could be something else like Fallout Shelter 2

I find it more likely that it's either Fallout 3 or 4 on Switch than a brand new fallout game. It took them 4 years between Skyrim and Fallout 4.

The only reason I could see Fallout 5 already would be if they're planning something really ridiculous and/or infeasible with current technology for TESVI. Which isn't inconceivable, given some commentary by (I think) Todd Howard.

I think a Switch version is more likely, though.

What ever happened to that rumour that BGS was working on some new space IP, codenamed "starfield"?

Nothing. It was a rumor before E3 last year, nothing at all came of it, but people are bringing it up again this year.

Zenimax has trademarks for Starfield, filed in April of 2016 and December of 2017, so they have something by that name. The filing sure does talk about mobile devices a lot though, which I think would be a disappointment to the people who are anticipating the thing.

More likely a new mobile game.

I think they are putting out Fallout 3 anniversary. However the one thing that gives me pause its this is the colors.

Yeah, I noticed those. They make me think Switch.

That said, a Fallout 3 Anniversary Edition in the Fallout 4 (or better) engine, with Fallout 4 (or better) quality graphics, that might have some appeal.
