EA and Dice held a preview event today to show off Battlefield 5 to the world for the first time. In a panel show hosted by Trevor Noah, the world got its first glimpse at the series first visit to World War 2 since the campaign of Bad Company 2. The panelists from Dice discussed what is new for 2018 and explained some of the new modes and additions that will leave fans of the series salivating. At the end of the panel session, the world premiere of the Battlefield 5 trailer was shown.

Possibly the biggest news out of the event was the announcement that the Battlefield Premium Pass has gone the way of the dinosaurs. All players will be able to enjoy the maps and modes of Battlefield 5 without having to pay an extra $50 for the privilege A new Combined Arms cooperative mode was also announced and should be music to the ears of franchise diehards. Those who pre-order the game prior to its October 19 release date will be granted access to the open beta. The game will be available for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
