Yesterday, Bethesda confirmed the existence of Rage 2 with an exciting and vibrant live action trailer. Today, the devs keep that same outrageous energy with the gameplay reveal. If the action looks reminiscent of Mad Max, turns out there's a good reason for that. Bethesda has recruited Avalanche Studios, the team behind the Mad Max video game, to work on Rage 2. Avalanche and id Software looks like a match made in post-apocalyptic heaven.
The original Rage from id Software released in 2010 and had a cliffhanger ending. It's not clear if the sequel will pick up right where the original left off, but it is quite clear that the action experience is getting a major adrenaline shot in the arm. Gun,
Bethesda had been teasing a reveal since the Walmart Canada leak, even responding to it with with a tweet from the official Rage Twitter account. While this reveal was spot on, Gearbox has confirmed that Borderlands 3 won't be making an appearance at E3. We'll have to wait and see what shakes out from the branches, so stay tuned to Shacknews.

Dang. They should have come out the gates with THAT, instead of that shitty trailer the other day. I'm marginally interested now.
