It's been a banner year for Digital Extreme's Warframe. Their Plains of Eidolon expansion introduced open-world gameplay to the long-running MMORPG and since then there's been a steady release of updates and new features rolled out. It looks like the Warframe crew has no plans on stopping either with the recent announcement of a brand new Warframe and gameplay mode. Starting this week PC players will be able to experience the game's brand new survival mode and get their hands on the first new Warframe suit of 2018, Khora, with the Beasts of the Sanctuary update. Xbox One and PS4 players will have the same content coming their way in May.

Sanctuary Onslaught is a team-based survival mode where players will take on waves of enemies as they make their way towards portals that will take them through various environments. The new survival mode will have players race against the clock as each new portal leap forces them to take care of the hordes of enemies quicker and quicker.

The new survival mode will also be where players can get their hands on the new Khora Warframe. Khora carries a metallic whip and has a metallic Kavat companion at her disposal as well. According to the press release Khora will introduce a few new weapons and items that include a "Dartgun, Quill Spear, Tenno Revolver Rifle, Zaw Parts, Quill Syandana, and Quill Alt Helmet." She'll also get a set of custom special moves:

·Whipclaw: Send enemies reeling with a deafening whipcrack.
·Ensnare: Bind a hapless target in living metal, entangling others who stray too close. Disperse the trap with a crack of the whip.
·Venari: Summon a ferocious, gleaming Kavat. Use again to cycle between Attack, Protect, and Heal postures.
·Strangledome: Weave a dome of living chain that ensnares and strangles any enemy within, and any foolish enough to approach.

Warframe's Beasts of the Sanctuary update will be available on PC this week and will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One in May.
