It’s been only 24 hours since Cliff Bleszinski’s Boss Key Productions announced that their newest project would be a colorful retro battle royale shooter. In a bit of a surprise, the game is ready to go in Steam’s Early Access and it is free to play. We have some exclusive gameplay footage from Radical Heights that was captured at 4K with ultra settings.

Forgive the player’s poor performance, as he was trying the game for the first time and the game's setting forced him to recall some painful childhood memories from when a group of skateboard punks beat him up and tore his new HyperColor t-shirt. Radical Heights intends to mix up the battle royale formula by adding a persistent currency mechanic and by including some sweet BMX bikes and ramps during lobby countdowns.

Developer Boss Key is surely hoping for Radical Heights to catch on big with players as they recently stopped active development on Lawbreakers last month.

Why does every one of these games spawn you by dropping you from the sky? How is it that a genre that's inspired by Hunger Games and Battle Royale, don't have you spawn on the ground or from underground?
