PAX East 2018: Sleep Tight Gameplay and Interview: Don't Let the Bedbugs Bite

There’s monsters in your closet and under your bed. You’ve got to take ‘em out and make it through the night.

While it has a cartoon appearance, We Are Fuzzy’s Sleep Tight is anything but a peaceful bedtime story. A nostalgic trip into the imaginations of the young, Sleep Tight is a twin stick shooter with some tower defense elements. Maxx Burman and Banks Boutte from We Are Fuzzy were kind enough to sit down with Shacknews’ Charles and Donovan on the PAX East show floor for a chat about dart guns, pillow forts, and the things that go bump in the night.

The boys from We Are Fuzzy had a background in visual effects and grew weary from the endless stream of dark and dreary games. This led to Sleep Tight using a Pixar-esque aesthetic to help lighten the mood as you battle waves of monsters.

The interview covers all the bases, including the childhood dream between friends that led to the game being developed. and manages to bring Charles to tears. Sleep Tight will be arriving on Steam and the Nintendo Switch sometime in the near future. You can check out more at the game’s official website or its Steam page.
