Capybara Games’ Below was first revealed to the world way back in 2013 as part of the Microsoft Xbox One presentation at E3. The short trailer generated loads of hype, but the game disappeared from the radar for a long time. Now that the game is inching closer to its launch date, the studio has once again taken off the wraps and brought Below to the PAX East 2018 show floor. Capybara Creative Director Kris Piotrowski was nice enough to sit down with Shacknews editors Charles Singletary and Donovan (Shacklemania World Champion) Erskine to dig deep into the world of Below.

Piotrowski goes into the long amount of time that’s passed since the initial reveal, an overview of how Below works, and shows off some brand new gameplay footage. The game’s lack of UI or tutorial is touched on, reflecting the team’s intention that players aren’t hand held though the experience. Piotrowski  also talks about seeing the game running at 4K for the first time.

Check out the video above to dig into the details of Below and look out for its release later this year on Xbox One and Steam.
