Bomb Chicken is a fun side-scrolling game about a chicken that lays bombs instead of eggs. The main character is special chicken who gained the ability to lay bombs after being dipped in some sort of special sauce. Developer Nitrome chatted with Shacknews at the Nindies GDC 2018 event to chat about their game that is coming to Nintendo Switch. Check out this video to hear more about what makes this chicken the bomb.

Bomb Chicken tasks players with the daunting task of escaping a BFC fried chicken temple. BFC is the parody of a popular fast food restaurant. The special sauce at the temple gave Bomb Chicken the ability to lay an unlimited amount of bombs. Players have to step aside from the bombs before they explode, but the game mechanic really involves using bombs to reach higher platforms. Players can also slide bombs at enemies similar to gameplay mechanics found in Bomberman. The platforming is similar to BoxBoy! in a lot of ways and provides a fun challenge for players.

This fun and quirky side-scrolling will release on Nintendo Switch this June. Check out Nitrome's official website for more information about Bomb Chicken.
