SNK Heroines Coming To Switch Later This Year

Get ready to throw down with a cavalcade of female brawlers from across the company's prolific fighting game history.

SNK has one of the largest catalogs of fighting games in existence and it looks like their next title will draw heavily from that history - or at least the female side of it. Due for launch on the Nintendo Switch this summer, SNK Heroines is a tag-team brawler with a roster full of lady brawlers from SNK titles like King of Fighters, Fatal Fury, Samurai Showdown and Art of Fighting.

Today's press release filled in some gameplay details and took a moment to plug today's digital release of Art of Fighting 2 for the Switch: "Play as iconic heroines from SNK’s history in a new, two-on-two tag-team fighting game. Players can activate a variety of Special Moves with the press of a button, and make use of special items to turn the tide of battle. One of the competitors will be Yuri Sakazaki from ACA NEOGEO Art of Fighting 2, which launches today in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch. SNK HEROINES ~Tag Team Frenzy~ launches on Nintendo Switch this summer."

While there's no full roster as of yet, SNK is promising a "generous" offering of fan favorites and over 100 accessories for character customization at launch.
