PUBG Vaulting & Climbing Update Delayed Due to Internal Issues

We will all have to wait just a bit longer for the test servers to go live due to some issues found during internal testing.

There's simply no way to get over this. Just when we thought we'd be testing a new way to survive PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, the rug is being pulled from under us. The vaulting and climbing test server update is being delayed due to unexpected issues during internal testing.

PUBG Corp broke the news on Twitter that the new tests are delayed indefinitely for the time being. A series of tweets from the official PUBG twitter account detailed the decision, stating that it's crucial that the test servers run in a stable environment.

The schedule will be announced once the internal issue is addressed. To date, the dev team has stuck to late 2017 as the release window for the first post-early access version of PUBG, but one must wonder if this new hickup will push the launch into 2018. The preview version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds for Xbox One was recently given a date as well if you're holding out for the console version.

I'm not going to buy the game until Valve purchases the developers and then introduces hats.

Is anyone that has played 500 or less hours of PUBG upset about this delay news?

I think I'm up to maybe 350-400 now. I guess its bad but expected. Ironically I'm now getting a lot better and jumping over walls and through windows, so it might be a waste or disadvantage for me by the time it comes out.

I’m a big PUBG fan and it’s definitely disappointing. The climbing adds a really cool tactical element to city combat and getting stuck on walls/windows is a huge pain. Still a really fun game, but those would be even funnerer.

I have 80 hours I think. I’d have 3x that if the game wasn’t as clunky. Also the gunplay isn’t satisfying enough for me to run around 20 minutes waiting for action.

And yes I’m incredibly disappointed in the delay as they showed this shit at E3 making it sound like it was coming very soon.

I've got 10 hours and am holding out. I like watching PUBG, not so much playing it. Weird. But I'm hoping maybe some extra gameplay mechanics and new level will help.

Honestly the PUBG jank is part of the fun; look at all this dumb shit I've done thanks to the jank.

Shitty, cheap kills because chutes deploy like ass:

Meta-jank: #2 was trying to damage player sticking out the right side of car by hitting them against the shed, but they just pass through things like Ghost Dad.

The jank makes for some laughs but after a while it gets annoying and you just want to be able to exit a vehicle at slow speeds without dying and shouldn't have to exit into a wall or a tree to avoid the problem, or repeatedly spamming grab to pick things up, or getting characters stuck together and you need to knock someone out to unstick etc etc etc... The list is endless.

The real and lasting fun is the actual game play and the thrill of extended skirmishes. DayZ died quickly when people realized they weren't going to unjank the game and so will pubg. I suspect they will unjank it but it needs to be before we get a Battlefield Royale.

Couldn't agree more. EA has the engine already in place just needs to mimic the game mechanics and they could pretty easily have a superior product.
