Dead by Daylight Unleashes the Nightmare of Freddy Krueger This Week

Iconic horror movie villain Freddy Krueger of 'Nightmare on Elm Street' fame is about to invade Dead by Daylight, so whatever you do, stay awake!

Last time Dead by Daylight ran an October event, four players had to run away from legendary "Halloween" killer Michael Myers. So what does Starbreeze and Behaviour have lined up for an encore? Turns out it's only something one would see in their nightmares.

Yes, it's Freddy Krueger, from the iconic "Nightmare on Elm Street" franchise. Few details are being offered on Freddy or which version of the character he'll be modeled after, though if last year's update is any indication, look for the classic Robert Englund version to be represented here.

Look for more details on Freddy's invasion of the Dead by Daylight world to be revealed this Thursday, at which point the update is also set to go live. In the meantime, let's enjoy the teaser below.
