Happy Birthday to Abe of Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee fame. The PlayStation classic turns 20 today and the folks at Oddworld Inhabitants are looking to celebrate by giving a special birthday to PC users. For the next two days, Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee will be available for absolutely free.

For those unfamiliar with the premise of the original Oddworld game, it centers around Mudokon slave Abe. He toils away at the RuptureFarms meat processing factory, but finds out his people are getting lined up to be slaughtered for Tasty Treats by the evil Molluck the Glukkon. Abe must go on a wild platforming adventure in order to save his people and put an end to Molluck's machinations.

PC owners can pick up Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee right now for free from either Steam or the Humble Store. For those looking to avoid dealing with DRM, free copies can also be claimed from GOG.com.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
